The clay studio o f missoula hosts a mfa studio r resident exhibition every other fall semester. In addition to our classes at the gallery we now also offer online classes and workshops. The zootown arts community center is missoula s non profit arts center and supports local and regional artists performing artists musicians and creative spirits by being as transparent and open in our practices as possible and by being a safe open inclusive space in which all community members and visitors can comfortably create. You don t need a reservation come in anytime. Biannually the red lodge clay center hosts a two week invited artist session of current mfa graduate students in ceramics. Concerts sporting events festivals fairs parades performing arts book signings museum exhibit openings. If you can find your way to a neat little shop tucked next to the train tracks in missoula s westside neighborhood you can find charming teapots striking ceramics rustic mugs plates and even the occasional non functional piece of art.

Each year a um ceramics student is juried to be a summer artist in r resident at the clay studio of missoula. If the clay studio is forced to cancel a workshop due to under enrollment or unforeseen reasons registrants will receive a full refund for their tuition paid to the clay studio of missoula. We offer a wide variety of fun and instructional classes for both kids and adults at every skill level. We will glaze and fire your creation and have it ready for pick up in about a week.

Policy on minors in adult classes policies differ for our community workshop offerings as most community workshops are open to students 16 and over. The lifelong learning center offers over 200 classes in the missoula area. By making the arts accessible to all the council for the arts works to promote a community that is inspired and innovative.
