Ok octevio the main outs on a mixer console is your stereo output sockets the connectors are a 3 pin xlr on your larger console but it can also be a 6 5 mm trc jack sockets or rca.
If you are in the room with the mixer then that is the control room.
All buttons were depressed except for the main to control room button on the behringer.
Ok here goes the newbie guide to solo modes.
Just give it a go.
I take sound card out and feed that to the desk tape in which i route to the control room.
Don t worry about where the control room is.
Both are fed on channel 7.
By doing it this way any changes to listening level are independent of desk settings.
I connect monitors and headphones via control room out not main out.
There are 3 major solo modes you can encounter on a mixer.
The behringer is recorded on the left control room output the soundcraft on aux 2.
Then i tweaked the control room out volume knob on the behringer until it had the same overall gain as the soundcraft.
Pfl afl and sip pfl pre fader listening will route the selected signal to the monitors before fader pan and eq so you can hear the signal as it is when it comes into your mixer.
Control room speakers are to be hooked up to the large and small 1 4 trs connectors.
There is also a min mix switch that send the main mix output to the phones cntrl room output.
Use that to monitor the main out when you need to.
The main out i use to feed into soundcard.
It is normally used for setting the gain on channels.
